Who the controller is

Techtone Kft., Mura utca 4, 1138 Budapest, Hungary, is the data controller for this website. The email address on the contact page reaches the people responsible for it.

Analytics, only with your consent

If you accept analytics on the banner, the site loads Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, how long they stay, where they arrived from, and which type of device, operating system and browser they use. We look at these figures only in aggregate, to improve the site.

Google Analytics stores two cookies, _ga and one starting with _ga_ followed by the site identifier, holding a random visitor number. They expire after 13 months, and the reports are kept for 14 months. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Google may process the data in the United States; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Nothing is loaded and no cookie is set before you choose. If you decline, the site works exactly the same. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before.

The legal basis is your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

What this site does not do

Apart from Google Analytics, and only with consent, the site sets no cookies. It runs no tracking pixels and no advertising tags, and nothing is used to build an advertising profile. The choice you make on the banner is remembered in your browser and is not sent to anyone. Fonts are served from the site itself rather than from a font provider, so loading a page sends nothing to a font provider.

There is no contact form, no newsletter sign-up and no account.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Render, which keeps standard server access logs. These contain the requesting IP address, the time, the page requested and the browser identification string. They exist to keep the service running and secure, they are not used to build a profile, and they are retained for a short period by the host under its own policy.

The legal basis is legitimate interest in operating a secure website, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Email

Writing to the address published on this site sends a message to a mailbox operated by Techtone. The message, the address it came from and anything written in it are kept for as long as the enquiry is live and, where it becomes a client relationship, for as long as the commercial and statutory record-keeping obligations require.

The legal basis is the steps taken at the request of the sender before entering a contract, under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, and legitimate interest in answering business correspondence under Article 6(1)(f).

Rights

Anyone whose personal data Techtone holds can ask for access to it, correction of it, erasure of it, restriction of its processing, or a copy of it in a portable form, and can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Requests go to the email address on the contact page.

A complaint can also be made to the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Nemzeti Adatvedelmi es Informacioszabadsag Hatosag, Budapest.
